The majority of our filming will be in a churchyard area. There are possible risks associated with this, i will discuss these and the possible solutions below.
Risk: Loose branches on the floor, which could be a trip hazard.
Solution: Before shooting, clear the area of loose branches.
Risk: A lack of light could cause visibility problems and therefore increase danger in the filming area.
Solution: Make sure we have appropriate lighting for the camera, and also, torches if we need them.

Production Plan
Our production activities will include still camera shots (to be featured on our poster and front cover). The date for our still shots will be the 22nd of November and the filming dates will be the following week on the 29th of November.
Locations for our still shots will be Station Road in the churchyard. It will be the same location for our trailer filming.
Costumes for both shooting sesssions will be casual youthful clothes to suit the characters in our trailer and to appeal to our target audience which is generally young people. For example blue jeans along with a polo shirt and white shoes.
The only technical equipment we will need for our shooting will be a video camera along with a camera and a tripod to shoot the still shots. We will need to get permission from our teachers to take this equipment outside of school.
The people involved in this project will be me (Scott Tinnion) and Sam Stockbridge. We will also need a male character along with a female character to correspond with the character line-up in the 'Blaire Witch Project' because this is the film we are doing a spoof horror film of.

Ancillary Poster font/colour planning
I will look to continue with the theme of the ‘Blaire Witch Project’ so the font of the title on the poster will be similar to that of ‘TIMES NEW ROMAN’ but also ‘BLUE RIDGE LIGHT SF’. This will continue with the theme of such posters as shown below.
The colour of the font will be White as to continue with the film. We will also look to include a ‘spoofed’ figure of the icon above the text. Possibly as the figure doing a humorous dance for instance.
The pictures which will be used on our poster will also look to follow a similar theme to that of the poster shown above. But as to make our film a spoof the picture will look to have an element of humour about it.
Ancillary Front cover font/colour planning
My front cover will be used to fully maximise advertisement of my spoof horror film. The other features on the front cover will be on a boxed strap line just below the title of the magazine. And below this there will be the feature of the film.
The other features strap line will look like this, a long horizontal column around 5-8 cm long with vertical lines separating the column so it could feature up to 5 advertisements.
My feature on the magazine will cover the space below the title of the magazine and the strap line. It will feature a humorous picture from our film, along with bold text stating the name of our film. This writing will be in the font CASABLANCA HEAVY SF. And will be in a RED COLOUR to make it stand out on the page. The masthead will also be in this font and colour.

Questionnaire Results Summary
I am now going to summarise the results of my target audience questionnaire, this will help me to make a successful product which appeals well to my target audience. A total of 15 people took my survey and I will look at the answers they gave for each question.
A total of 8 females and 7 males took my survey and the majority of them were aged between 15-18, this is good because this is my specific target audience. When the audience was asked whether they would prefer a traditional or a spoof horror film the responses came back as 13 wanting a traditional film and 2 for a spoof film. This indicates the audience would prefer to see a traditional horror film, however we have decided to go for a spoof horror film because we feel the responses came back in favour of a traditional film because they haven't seen many spoof horror films, so we have decided to try and show people a type of film they haven't seen before, we are hoping they will enjoy it and therefore look to watch more spoof horror films in the future.
I then went on too ask what the audience would like to see in the horror film, the possible answers were 'blood', 'gore, 'psychological damage', 'supernatural beings', 'taken from a true story', a 'mass killer' and 'other'. The most popular answer was 'taken from a story'. The other options all got similar results. From this question we have decided to do a spoof horror film of 'the blair with project', this fulfills the audiences desire and also we also look to incorporate other features from this question, for example some 'gore' along with 'blood'. I then asked whether the audience would like to see a gradual build up of horror through a film or horror all the way through the film, there was 9 responses for a gradual build up and 8 for horror all the way through, Because the responses were so close i will look to do a gradual build up due to that being the majority verdict.
The next question on my survey asked whether the audience would like to wait until the end of the film to find out who the killer in the film is or know who it is from the start, 8 people wanted to wait until the end and 7 wanted to know from the start. Again the responses were so close so i will look to go with the majority verdcit again. My next question asked the audience whether they would like a spoof horror film to be a spoof of an orginal film or a new idea for a spoof, there were 10 responses for a spoof of an orginal horror film and 5 for a new idea of a spoof, there is a clear majority for doing a spoof of a previous horror film, this has helped me decide that i should do a spoof horror film of the horror film 'the blaire witch project'.
I then asked whether the audience would like the spoof horror film to focus on the horror, comedy or both. There was 7 responses for both, 6 for comedy and 1 for horror. This shows that the majority verdict was to incorporate both aspects into the spoof horror film, this will try to be acheived in my film trailer. The penultament question was on the subject of film posters, it asked whether the audience would be attracted to a traditional horror film poster or a spoof horror film poster, 11 people said a traditional horrror film poster and 4 said a spoof poster, this suggests that they would be more attracted to the traditional poster but because I am doing a spoof horror film i will have to include certain aspects of a spoof horror film in it, although to appeal to my target audience I may have too make sure that the traditional horror film aspect of the poster outweighs that of the spoof horror film so the poster seems more appealing.
The final question asked whether the audience would want to watch a horror film filmed on a handheld camera (e.g. the blaire witch project). 8 people said yes to this question with 3 saying no and 4 saying maybe. This points to the fact that it could appeal to the majority of my target audience. This has helped me decide that all of my film trailer will be filmed on a handheld camera to try and make scenes seem more realistic and ultimately appeal further to my target audience.

Trailer Draft Work
Outline: The outline for my trailer will try to portray it as a spoof horror film as much as possible, this will make it stand out from other film trailers on the television. I will make it obvious its a spoof horror film by including many shots of humorous scenes. I will look to just show scenes of humour and not follow conventions of other film trailers by telling the whole story of the film. The feedback I got from my focus group expressed that viewers dont like the trailer to be to lenghty, just to show important parts of the film and give enough information to tempt them to watch the film. I would look to only feature the main characters of the film. The characters featured will be finalised in my script and storyboard.
Script: First scene is a black screen with white writing saying "In october of 1994, three student filmmakers disappeared in the woods near March town centre while shooting a documentary". This then dissapears and the words "A year after, their footage was found" appear. Our three student characters then appear with the girl saying "Do you believe in the spirit of March?". The citizen chracter then replies "No i do not belive in it, all this supernatural tosh really does get on my wick, i wish everyone would just grow up a little bit (walks away)". Our girl character then asks another member of the public by saying "What do you think about the spirit of March?", the citizen then replies " Its me haha, ha only joking, im not allowed out after 9 P.M., i have a police curfue for an incident involvong late night livestock molesting". Our girl character then asked another person, she said " What is your view on the spirit of March?". The person replies "Well Well Well, the spirit of March is very scary indeed, i cant work it out, no it baffles me, is it real? i dont know, im very worried about it".
The trailer is now set in the woods, the girl character says "Here we are preparing to shoot our film, its gunna be so good hehe". the boy character says "Im pretty scared man, what if it turns out to be true". The other girl then says "hopfeully, it does"
There is then a group of scenes showing various scary scenes throughtout the rest of the trailer, this is coupled with screams and gasps from the characters as they are seen through a variety of close ups and mid shots, along with a bird's eye view shot.
The trailer then finishes with a blank screen showing the words "Scary Movie Project".

Shotlist:
All of my filming will be done using a video camera and a tripod. Most of the shots will be mid shots but there will also be a few high angle shots to show the vulnerability of the main characters. I feel this will be a suffcient variation of shots in a short trailer. This will also help to follow the conventions of typical horror/spoof trailers as very few of them use a handheld camera for example.
